Our venison is 100% wild - ethically wild-shot from free-roaming deer around Castor and the surrounding villages in the John Clare Countryside. It's never farmed.

Our venison is butchered and hung for 48 hours before being frozen, to preserve the best possible taste and quality.

How should I store my venison?

Store at -18°C to maintain freshness. When ready to use, transfer it from the freezer to a plate in the fridge and allow it to defrost slowly - roughly 10–12 hours per kilogram. Let it come to room temperature before cooking for the best, most even result.

As with all our produce, pictures are for illustrative purposes only. Since our venison is raised entirely naturally, each cut can vary slightly in size and shape - but the taste and quality are always consistently high.

How is my venison shipped?

We ship on a next-day delivery service, Monday to Wednesday, aiming to get your produce to you the next day where possible (please allow 1–4 working days in case we're busy on the farm). Do you offer free local delivery for venison?

We offer free local delivery to Castor, Ailsworth, and most PE postcodes, subject to a minimum order value.You can find full details of the minimum on our Delivery Page.If your order does not meet this amount, our Nationwide Delivery charge will apply and your items will be sent by post.To obtain free delivery, simply input your postcode at the checkout, continue to delivery, and then choose free delivery and a time slot suitable to you.
